It's Ramadan.
Yes, today is Ramadan for someone in the world, for when you are reading this, the minute you started thinking about it.
And since it's Ramadan, the most sacred month in the Muslim year...
Since we fast and give up on sins for 30 days...
Since it's the month of doing good...
I wanted to talk about a little secret, something I have developed throughout the years.
And it has everything to do with compassion.
Whenever I meet someone, I find something beautiful in them, something that gives me a reason to like them.
Find a reason to like someone.
Listen carefully.
Come closer.
Because this is another secret.
Even when you decide this person has nothing in common with you...
When you decide this person does things you dislike...
When you are angry at that person...
Remember what you like in that person.
And hold on to it like the tail of a bull that's chasing you.
Hold on tight.
Never let go.
Because...
You cannot develop compassion for a person if you do not love something in that person.
I repeat.
There is no compassion for someone you do not like.
So, to start the 30 days to compassion, I invite you to find something amazing, unique, beautiful, exciting, in anyone you meet.
