The Islamic Writers Alliance is a USA based professional Muslim organization with an International membership. Membership includes Muslim women and men who are published authors, unpublished writers seeking publication, editors, illustrators, publishers, journalists, playwrights, web designers, retailers, and marketing consultants. If you are looking for a group of Muslim professionals to network with, gain resource information, and get help with promoting your work, the Islamic Writers Alliance may be exactly what you need to move forward!
Islamic Writers group:
Islamic Writers is an egroup for Muslim women only. It was created for published authors, journalists, poets, bloggers, editors, illustrators, and any other writers who enjoy writing for the sake of writing. Islamic Writers group is not a place for debating or having lengthy discussion on fiqh or politics.
The first goal of Islamic Writers is to provide information about writing, publishing, marketing and promoting quality Islamic writing. The second goal of Islamic Writers is to have a place for members to share with one another knowledge and insights about writing and publishing, and provide a support and information sharing network related to our goals.

The IWA organization's goals are to promote literacy and each year the organization awards fiction and non-fiction Islamic books to Islamic school libraries. The IWA also sponsors creative writing contests to Islamic schools. The IWA sponsors a public annual poetry contest and a public annual Islamic fiction story contest. The IWA publishes a quarterly online magazine: Islamic Ink.
Membership Eligibility: Any adult Muslim (18 years and up). Members pay a $25.00 annual membership fee with full benefits.

5. Journal of Islamic Studies
The Journal of Islamic Studies is a multi-disciplinary publication dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and of the Islamic world. This is an academic journal.

Monthly English newspaper published in India, but distributed worldwide for the past 15 years. Mostly includes news and commentary from the Muslim world.

Muslim American Girl magazine is seeking submissions for a unique online magazine for Muslim girls growing up in America. It was created by a 14 year old Muslimah, Shabnam M, to help young Muslimahs feel like they are not alone, that there are other young Muslimahs out there going through some of the same obstacles that young Muslims go through growing up in America.
MAGazine will give young Muslimahs an arena to showcase their creativity and share their experiences and grow to be upstanding Muslim women leaders in the future.
ISLAMIC WRITERS CONTESTS
The IWA is sponsoring its Annual Poetry Contest for the year of 2010 in April, coinciding with National Poetry Month (US). The theme for this year's contest is 'ibadah', or worship. Submissions will be accepted from April 1st through April 30th 2010.
