You have been fasting for a week.
Yay!
Pat yourself on the back.
Fasting is not easy.
Working on being a better person is even harder.
It never ends!
Have you shown more compassion?
Have you shown more kindess?
I'm sure you did.
Good!
Ignoring negative emotions thrown at you and responding with positive and honest emotions is showing compassion.
You lock shayatin (the evil whisperers) away.
You don't give them a chance to destroy you.
You refuse to open the door to anger, backbiting, jealousy, resentment, pride, etc.
You block hits.
You accept only light.
You take the good. You reject the bad.
Some people might think this is being passive aggressive, but it is being active in your faith with the aggression removed.
Aggressivity leads nowhere.
Anger only hurts everyone without building anything.
Build.
Construct.
Add instead of removing.
Show compassion in your relationships: acknowledge their worries, but ignore their aggressive comments.
I have been doing this for years.
I refuse to see bad in people’s comments.
I always turn a bad comment into a good one.
If I’m criticized, good, that means I’m learning something about myself.
If someone yells at me, maybe I deserved it and here is a chance to re-examine myself and maybe do better next time.
Do not open a door to the devil whispers.
Ignore negativity.
Aim for positivity.
